Guiding

All my guided trips are float trips. I use the boat to access less crowded areas of the river and transport some amenities like cold drinks and extra gear. One of the most common questions I answer is "What should I bring along?" The answer is..really not much. You will need a Tennessee fishing license, and a raincoat just in case. I usually encourage you to bring along your favorite fishing outfit, or I'll bring one for you. As for clothing, just wear what's comfortable. Polarized sunglasses help you see into the water and protect your eyes. Water shoes are nice but not needed. Same thing applies to waders. I have everything else you'll need,  and probably spares for anything you leave behind.

             Full Day Float: 400                                 Half Day Float: 300

Full day floats usually last between 7-8 hours and can accommodate up to two anglers. I bring lunch, soft drinks and water, flies, tippet, and any equipment you might not have. 

Half day floats usually last between 3.5 and 4 hours and can accommodate up to two anglers.  I bring soft drinks and water, flies, tippet, and any equipment you might not have.

A word about TVA water schedules and what to expect:

.All our floatable trout rivers here in East Tennessee are controlled by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The water they release through the generators at the bottom of the dam is what provides the cold water necessary for the trout to survive. It also determines where and what time we begin our float trips. TVA operates a phone line, on line app, and website to inform the public of lake levels, and the expected water release schedule. The next days schedule is usually posted around 5:00 pm, Until TVA posts the schedule for our particular day it is impossible to determine the exact time and place we are going to meet.
